Creating a wayfinding system tailored to a complex building structure
We were tasked with designing the wayfinding system for UX Nordic 2024, one of Europe’s biggest UX conferences. Our goal was to help attendees, not confuse them. We developed a clear and intuitive design framework that included signage, stickers, visuals, and an AR layer in collaboration with the team at Hololink. The outcome was a venue and a system that guided people effortlessly, letting attendees focus on the talks not the floor plan.

Fun and Informative
With a focus on clear communication, we also wanted to infuse a touch of playfulness into the design. To achieve this, we created patterns that seamlessly blend with the overall design and brand identity of UX Nordic, adding a sense of fun while making the content more engaging.

Genuine Feedback
We also helped the team gather feedback about the conference in a fun way by designing envelopes, stickers and feedback cards that attendees could leave at postboxes around the venue.

Conclusion
The result was a wayfinding system that not only worked flawlessly but also captured the energy of the conference itself. Clear, playful, and engaging. It helped the attendees of UX Nordic navigate the venue effortlessly and the team behind UX Nordic to gather quality feedback. A big thank you to Laura and Luciano at UX Nordic and Jens and Niels at Hololink.
